I had a college study group 10 years ago in my Discrete Structures class and we came up with the name Team Lightning Bear.
Then at Anime Weekend Atlanta they had an event called the Thunderdome and you had to have a team name for that. The first year we had Sarah Sannoune (SasukeChanx) among other former team members. Then the year after that Will Whaley (Speedy180) joined and we all started talking after that.
Finally in 2019 we recruited Parker Doss (TwigglyFiggly) and decided to announce the creation of the studio at the con and we won the Thunderdome that year too.
This was a video that I made for Anime Weekend Atlanta's Thunderdome Event in 2019 with SasukeChanX, Speedy180, TwigglyFiggly and Lord Rae.
This song was chosen to help fit in with the Halloween theme AWA has had with its date change in recent years. The division was as follows:
TwigglyFiggly/Dexter (0:00-1:04)
Lord Rae (1:04-2:19)
Speedy180 (2:19-2:47)
SasukeChanX (2:48-3:30)
Dexter (3:31-4:15)
I was the last one to edit so I had an extra hour to pull everything together, including filling in some gaps in TwigglyFiggly's footage and conforming the aspect ratios from Lord Rae's footage to match the rest of ours.
Beyond that I also added transitions between each of the sections and used Annihilation (notably a live-action source) as my choice to help differentiate my section and add a different flavor to the video.
Overall, an interesting combination and experiment in damage control when plans go awry.

So we originally had a completely different idea for this video, it was purely going to be a Cowboy Bebop video with a different song. However, due to some hidden contest rules we ended up with this one instead. I did what I could with my portion. SailorDeath decided to get more creative and integrated some live action that made it a more humorous video, which was fine since are whole plan got shot to sunshine anyways.

As per the rules, four of us were given one hour each alone in the Thunderdome to work on the video. Since the event coordinator allowed me to suggest a song, I decided upon a compilation of the opening theme from Black Mesa, for a mod that updated the game Half-Life. And to make it a little more interesting we decided that we would not discuss the theme or the anime that we would use in the video so that each of our own styles and ideas could proliferate instead. Afterwards, our fifth team member had two hours to try and pull it all together. It's rough, and could definitely use some improvement in places (give or take the several 4:3 shots that should have been scaled in on to fill the 16:9 video; as well as some miscommunication about intentional cuts to black); but overall I'm proud of what our team was able to accomplish.
